  Hello, my name is Winston.  I was born at Sheltie Shack Rescue right before Christmas 2021, so I will be 5 years old this year.  Since I can't talk human, my foster mom can only guess in part what may have caused my family to surrender me back to her, but she will be happy to share those thoughts with anyone serious about adopting me.  I just had a serious dental (had a broken tooth for over 6 months that wasn't addressed, I was in pain).  I'm on soft food until the disolvable stitches are healed, along with some pain meds and antibiotics.   I tend to be a bit needy.  As large as I am   (38#), I want to sit in my foster moms lap anytime she sits down (she usually lets me).  She told me I can be naughty shredding up tissues or tearing up my stuffed toys (except for my favorite one, an oversized ball.  She is also helping me get my confidence back.  I have tried to get a couple of my foster sheltie siblings to play with me, they are either old and grumpy or not interested....I'd sure like a playmate.  Children aren't my cup of tea, so no kids nor grandkids that frequent the home.   If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask my foster mom.  I have some time to recover before I can pick a new family.  In the meantime, I'm also on a diet (I am too heavy, I'm told).  BEFORE INQUIRING ABOUT ADOPTING ONE OF OUR AVAILABLE PETS or TAKING THE TIME TO FILL OUT OUR QUITE DETAILED APPLICATION, PLEASE REVIEW THE INFORMATION PROVIDED ON OUR ADOPTION INFO  LINK TO ENSURE THAT YOU WILL MEET THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR PETS.  THANK YOU.                                 ************** SSR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY APPLICATION.                               **************   SSR is a 501(c)(3) Organization and all donations are completely tax deductible.
