Birthday: June 20, 2023 Finchley is a young boy with a gentle heart that's just waiting for someone to help it shine. Finchley came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation that was discovered after his owner passed away. More than 40 cats and kittens were left behind in a home that was quickly becoming unlivable and heavily infested with fleas. Despite such a difficult start, Finchley showed a glimpse of the sweet soul hiding beneath his fear. The very first time his rescuer met him in the hoarding house, he let her pet him—something very few of the cats there were willing to do. From that moment, she knew he had incredible potential.  Today, Finchley is still shy and cautious, but he's slowly learning that people can be kind. He enjoys being petted and is beginning to discover that attention can be something to look forward to instead of fear. Every small step he takes is hard-earned, making each moment of trust that much more rewarding. Finchley will need a patient adopter who understands that trust isn't given overnight; it is earned through love, consistency, and gentle encouragement. The person who gives him that chance will have the incredible privilege of watching him blossom into the cat he was always meant to be. Finchley has formed a special bond with his friend, Sweetheart, and he would love to find a forever home where they can stay together. Having his trusted companion by his side will help make the transition into a new home a little easier and give both cats the comfort of a familiar friend.
