Description
Lady is an affectionate, playful Shepherd/Australian Kelpie mix who thrives on one-on-one attention and a calm, predictable home. She has a fun, energetic side and loves her ball, romping in the yard, and gently herding her fur siblings. When she's done, she's all about relaxing and snuggling with her chosen people. Lady loves belly rubs, watching the world go by from a comfy spot, and apple slices!Lady does well with other dogs after slow introductions and has been learning a lot from her canine foster siblings. She responds well to their corrections and is very comfortable navigating life with other dogs. She has not yet been introduced to children, so that remains an unknown. She continues to warm up to her foster dad, and adores him when foster mom isn’t available. If there is a man in the home, he'll need to be patient, allow Lady to move at her own pace, and build trust on her terms. (Cheese, apple, and playing fetch definitely help!)Lady's house training improves daily and so far, has had no accidents inside—knock on sticks! She even taught herself to ring the bells like her foster siblings when she needs to potty.Lady is a VERY quick learner who is eager to figure things out. She even enjoys cooling off with a gentle spray from the hose on warm days.Lady is looking for a forever family who is willing to let her set the pace, respect her boundaries, and provide the routine and stability she's been missing. If that’s you, be ready for an incredibly loving, loyal companion who will reward your patience with a lifetime of devotion. Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!
