Maui (A138772) is a 1-year-and-4-old St Bernard mix who weighed 58.8 pounds on intake! 07/23/26 This wonderful boy is Maui! Maui was returned to the shelter due to no fault of his own. In his surrendering home, he was stated to do well with strangers and adults but has no experience with children. He was also said to do well with other dogs, cats, and livestock! It is important to ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new people and animals to continue setting him up for success! Maui was underweight on arrival back at the shelter and should have regular weight check visits with his vet until he reaches his ideal weight. Maui has had a healthy appetite for food and for life! Courtesy of the shelter fund, he was sent out for a dental cleaning! He is now eagerly awaiting to find his new home! If you are interested in meeting Maui, please let us know! 03/26/25 This adorable pup is looking for his new home! He is going to grow into a large dog so please be prepared prior to bringing him home. In typical puppy fashion, he will need continued help with potty training, kennel training, basic commands, and positive socialization. Maui and his brother Mishka were also known to attempt to play with and chase livestock and may do best without livestock in the home. Puppies are a lot of work and a big responsibility but worth the reward. We encourage their next owners to bring him to a puppy obedience class to continue working on his manners.
