Meet Noodle, a sweet, gentle Terrier with the perfect balance of playful energy and easygoing charm. He settled into foster life quickly and has proven to be a well-mannered, easy dog to care for. Noodle thrives on routine and would love an active family who can include him in regular walks, runs, or outdoor adventures. He’s an excellent walking companion and has even enjoyed going on runs with a previous foster. Like many Terriers, Noodle has a strong prey drive, so bunnies and squirrels are simply too tempting to ignore! He may pull when he spots wildlife and can be vocal when dogs, people, or neighborhood activity catch his attention. On walks, he may bark and lunge at unfamiliar dogs or people from a distance, but this is not aggression. Once he’s able to calmly greet and sniff them, he settles nicely. His barking at home has also decreased as he’s become more comfortable in his foster home. At home, Noodle loves curling up for couch snuggles and becomes more affectionate every day, while still being independent enough that he doesn’t struggle with being left alone. He gets along well with his older resident canine foster sibling and enjoys gentle play. Noodle is house-trained, crate trained, and has never had an accident in his crate, even during a full workday. He occasionally chooses to poop in the basement instead of the backyard, so continued consistency with his routine will help him continue making progress. If you’re looking for a sweet, active companion who will happily join you on adventures and then relax by your side at the end of the day, Noodle might be the perfect fit.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
