Nia is a one-year-old black cat with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and enough love to fill a whole house. Found as a stray, Nia can be a little shy when she first meets new people, but give her a few days to settle in and you'll discover what she truly loves most in the world: cuddles and pets. Once she trusts you, she'll happily seek out affection and soak up every scratch, chin rub, and lap nap she can get. This petite girl weighs just 6 pounds, but she has absolutely no idea she's small when dinner is served. Nia is always excited for mealtime and never lets a good meal go to waste! When she's not enjoying her food or snuggling with her people, you'll find her carrying around or batting at her favorite toy mice. Nia has also shown that she enjoys the company of other cats. She quickly won over her older, famously grumpy foster brother and would often try to befriend him despite his best efforts to act unimpressed. Because of her friendly nature with other felines, she may do well in a home with another cat. She has not been introduced to dogs, so her feelings about canine roommates remain a mystery. Nia is fully healthy, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a forever home of her own. She's looking for someone who will give her a little time to come out of her shell and then enjoy the reward of a devoted companion who loves affection more than anything else. Nia is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  spayed , and litter box trained.
