Meow meet Greta! Greta’s story almost had a very different ending. This beautiful 3 year old tabby was trapped with her four kittens at a colony participating in a Trap Neuter Return (TNR) project. At first, she seemed unsure of people, and everyone thought she would be happiest returning to her outdoor colony once her babies were weaned. They could not have been more wrong. Just a few hours after arriving at her foster home, Greta walked over, arched her back, and asked for scratches. It was as if she had been waiting her whole life for someone to love her.  She wasn’t distant - she was simply a devoted mama doing everything she could to protect her babies. Now that her kittens have grown, it’s finally Greta’s turn to be cared for. She is sweet, quiet, gentle, and incredibly loving. She greets affection with loud purrs, makes the sweetest little biscuits, enjoys exploring, and is even discovering the joy of playing - something she was never able to do before, as she spent her days simply trying to survive. Greta gave her babies a safe beginning. Now we’re hoping someone will give her the happy ending she’s always deserved - a forever home where she’s cherished, spoiled, and loved for the rest of her life!
