Description

About MeMeet Ross, the ultimate sidekick you never knew you needed. This young, sweet-natured pup is happiest when he’s right by your side—whether you’re heading out for a walk, relaxing at home, or just moving from room to room. Ross is a professional cuddler and will gladly snuggle up with you any chance he gets.Ross starts his day with a morning walk (he’ll be waiting by the door, ready to go!) and enjoys another stroll in the evening. He’s food-motivated, loves ropes and stuffed toys, and has a special fondness for carrying around empty milk cartons. He’s still learning the ropes of home life, but he sleeps well in his kennel at night and is picking up new routines every day.Ross is friendly with everyone—dogs, cats, and kids alike. He’s eager to make friends, though sometimes his enthusiasm can be a bit much for more reserved pets. With gentle redirection, he’s learning to respect their space. He’s also working on his manners, like not jumping up to greet people and getting used to new sights and sounds on walks. Sometimes, he’ll bark if startled by bikes or noisy things, but he looks to his people for reassurance.Ross is still settling in after his journey from Texas, so he’s working through a few puppy quirks—like occasional accidents when he’s overstimulated or excited, and a tendency to trip over things when he’s focused on play. With patience and consistency, he’s making great progress. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy and laughter to your days, Ross is ready to be your new best friend. Apply to meet him and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family!Ideal Home Environment: Ross would love a home with either another active dog or an active family. He would do best with a family who will continue to work on his manners through obedience training.Helpful Information from Ross' Foster: Ross wants to be the center of attention, wants company when going outside, and thinks everyone should be his friend and playmate. He doesn't always recognize when another dog doesn't want to play, and tends to overwhelm cats with his attempts to play. He is starting to back off with redirections, but is still working on this. His intent is to play, not to do harm. He walks nicely on a leash and loves going for walks. Ross is very curious, though acts concerned when new noises occur and seeks reassurance (frogs croaking, crickets chirping, bike passing).----------WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.  Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hoursPlease visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps. What Comes With Adoption? All of our pets are: Spayed or neutered Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations Microchipped Dewormed On flea/tick & heartworm preventionAdditional testing: Cats: FIV/FeLV  Dogs: HeartwormPLEASE NOTE: Age and breed are our best estimates based on veterinary assessment and intake observations.
