Meet Franz! Franz is a handsome 1½-year-old Miniature Poodle weighing just 14 pounds, and he's the perfect blend of playful fun and affectionate companionship. This sweet boy has a medium energy level, enjoying daily adventures just as much as cozy cuddle sessions. Whether he's going for a 20–30 minute walk, chasing his favorite toy in a game of fetch, or curling up in your arms for a nap, Franz is happiest when he's spending time with his people. Franz is house-trained, crate-trained, and has wonderful manners in the home. He does well being left alone for a few hours and quietly relaxes in his bed without signs of separation anxiety. He's a smart little guy who quickly learned "sit" and enjoys learning new routines. He also happily allows his foster family to brush his teeth, clean his paws after walks, and even wears his little shirt without complaint after having to be shaved due to matting. Franz gets along well with other dogs after a brief introduction and has enjoyed visits to the dog park once he settles in. He loves women and, while he can initially be a bit cautious around men, he is never aggressive and simply needs a little time and patience to build trust. Because he can be startled by quick movements and values having his own safe space, he would likely do best in a home without very young children or with older, respectful kids who understand how to let a dog warm up at his own pace. One of Franz's most endearing qualities is his incredibly affectionate nature. He adores being petted, scratched, and snuggled, and once he bonds with his person, he'll be a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. He's quiet around the house, only giving a few barks when someone knocks at the door, and otherwise settles in beautifully to apartment or home living.
