Lucy *Adopt or Foster*

Description

Lucy is a sweet, affectionate, and social 5 year old / 20 lbs. female beagle who truly loves people. She enjoys being around both adults and children, gets along well with other animals, and has never shown any signs of aggression. She has a happy, loving personality and thrives on companionship and affection. Lucy is an energetic, scent-driven dog who would do best with an active owner who enjoys spending time outdoors and is committed to ongoing training and enrichment. She knows basic commands like “sit,” but can be independent-minded and easily distracted by interesting smells, making recall and impulse control areas where she still needs work. She would benefit greatly from someone experienced with hounds or similarly scent-driven breeds who understands that patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement go a long way. She has plenty of enthusiasm and curiosity. Because she can potentially get into mischief if she’s bored, she does best with structure, exercise, and mental stimulation.  Lucy has so many wonderful qualities! She is incredibly loving, eager to be with people, and has all the makings of a wonderful companion in a home that has the time and patience to invest in her. Our greatest wish is to find Lucy a family who will love her and give her the opportunity to live the happy, fulfilling life she deserves
