Description
Whiskey is a year and a half old female basset in need of a new home! She is nervous with new people at first but once she gets used to you she is fine. It just seems as though she may not have been socialized very much, so a lot of experiences are new to her. Whiskey does not seem to care at all about the other dogs, she doesn't even act like she knows they are there, lol! She came from a home with other dogs so she should be ok in a home with well mannered and non dominant dogs. She is a little bit stubborn but I feel like that is pretty normal for a basset. Mostly, it's just when she doesn't want to do something, like go back inside after her walks, Whiskey will back up and fight the leash a bit. It's been pretty easy to redirect her though, we just take another small loop through the grass and come back to the door from a different angle. Overall, Whiskey is a good girl She just needs someone that understands bassets and will get her some socialization so that life isn't so scary for her. She is a very sweet girl with a few basset quirks an experienced basset owner will understand! Her adoption fee is $300 and she is currently in Columbus and will need a home with a fenced in yard!
