Tiva (A142828) is a 2-year-old turtle who weighed 1.4 pounds on intake! 07/21/26 This big, beautiful turtle is Tiva! Tiva was surrendered to the shelter because her owner was moving and finding it difficult to transport her to their next location. Tiva has been receiving treatment for shell rot, but has been cleared for adoption! It is recommended that she continues to receive optimal husbandry, and to gently remove loose scutes (part of the shell) as needed to assist with normal shedding. It is important to keep a close eye out for soft spots or discoloration and follow up with your vet as needed. If you are unfamiliar with turtle care requirements we encourage you to do the research before adopting. Tiva enjoys her soaking time but also loves her basking time!
