Description
Special Needs Foster kittens available for adoption! Meet Scotty & Nellie! This great duo of kittens-- sister and brother-- are the surviving pair of a litter born outdoors to a shy mama cat. Luckily, they were brought inside by a Good Samaritan foster parent and became a part of that home and later another wonderful foster home. So, they are very friendly, playful and just all-around wonderful kittens! They are also 'special', a little wobbly in their walk, like 'Weebles' we played with as children! They wobble but don't fall down! The kittens likely have a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) which is not contagious, not progressive and only affects their movements. In their case, mainly their hindquarters are a little uncoordinated. (Scotty, the brother, showed signs of CH earlier. Nellie's movement symptoms are less noticeable.) They are four months old now, and will finish their medical care soon. A foster-to-adopt home would be great, especially if the two can stay together! Nellie G is a longer-haired black kitten with white markings on her chest. She loves pompoms and carries them around. Nellie likes to team up with brother Scotty and chase toys that have a circular motion. If she sees herself in a reflection she puffs up like a Halloween kitty. She says her special movement style is 'hula hips!' Scotty is a smooth short-haired brown tabby with 'bullseye' markings. His favorite toys have feathers and ribbons, and he likes to hug and kick them. He is a snuggly kitten and will curl up next to you, with his sister on the other side, or in your lap. He has a bit of 'Weeble' in his walk! Both kittens have met dogs, but have not spent a lot of time with them. Overall they pay attention to each other and the people they meet (older children, too!). And, they would likely adjust well to any friendly animals in a home, after a transition time.
