This gentle soul was brought to us by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan who was concerned about his condition and was able to convince his owner to surrender him. Winston's coat was severely matted, dirty, very thin with ribs exposed. Thankfully the Good Samaritan did a mercy grooming on him. It was clear he had been neglected for quite some time. He was so sensitive to touch that even gentle affection and kisses made him flinch. With patience, love, and proper care, Winston has blossomed into the happy, trusting dog he was always meant to be. We can't say enough wonderful things about this sweet boy. Winston is playful, affectionate, well-mannered, obedient, easygoing, and truly a diamond in the rough. He greets each day with a happy spirit and is ready to leave his past behind for a future filled with love. Winston is currently working on his basic commands. He is crate trained and has been doing very well with potty training, with only a few accidents when he first arrived. He is wonderful with kids and should do well with cats given a slow, proper introduction. Winston has overcome so much and is now ready to find the forever family he has always deserved. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments.
