Penelope

Description

Penelope is a sweet mix of possible dachshund and beagle, maybe some Bassett hound or other hound dog as well. She loves people, her favorite thing is to get lots of belly scratches and pets. She will play with toys and go on walks but also spends a lot of time napping. With other dogs she is cautious at first but typically gets along with them. She would do fine a cat household, but would do best with dog savvy cats as she can try to chase cats who run away, mostly because she wants to play. She will take any snuggles you have, and is quite the cutie. When walking she likes to stop and take in all the smells. Penelope will bark if she startles, and sometimes at people when they come to the door. She loves treats but is not the most motivated, more of a grazer type of eater. Whoever adopts Penelope will be truly lucky. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
