Description
Hi, I'm Harley I'm 4 years old, and I never thought I'd be the one looking for a new family. But here I am, and I'm hoping you'll take a moment to get to know me. The truth is, my best friend in the house is getting older, and it's harder for him to get around these days. I'm still young and full of energy, and I think that energy just wears on him now — he doesn't have the patience for me the way he used to, and honestly, I understand. He deserves peace and quiet in his golden years, and I deserve a home where I can be my playful self without stressing him out. It's nobody's fault. It's just what happens when a young pup and an old soul try to share a space that's gotten too small for both of us. We used to have a big fenced in yard but now we don't and this space is just too small. What I do know is how to love. I love people and I adore children. I really would be I'm a total cuddler — I sleep pressed right up against my person most nights, like I just want to be as close as possible. I walk nicely on a leash, I light up for car rides, and there's nothing I love more than a good hike with someone by my side. A fenced in yard to run and play in is a must! I think what I want most, more than anything, is just to belong somewhere again — somewhere I can run and play without anyone getting tired of me. I would be thrilled to be your one and only so that I can hog all of your attention. I should be honest about everything, because I want my next family to really know me. My skin can be sensitive — grass, bugs, the changing seasons, all of it can set me off, and I can't have chicken. I've found that lamb-based food helps me feel my best, and right now I eat Pure Balance Lamb, Pea & Rice. I get a Cytopoint allergy shot every 4 to 8 weeks. Every once in a while, my skin or ears might flare up. I'm spayed and fully up to date on my shots. I want to be somebody's whole world again. I know I can be given a chance. If that could be you, please reach out. I'd love the chance to show you how much love I have to give. Love,Harley *GUEST POSTING* If you would like to meet your new best friend(s), contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830.
