I have My STORY to share.  It's been a challenge getting to be able to be posted for adoption. My sister and brother and I were rescued in a snap trap from a lady's backyard. She didn't want us back there.  She took us to the pet store and threatened them that if they didn't take us we would be turned loose in the woods which would be probably death. Of course the store took us in and got us in with the rescue group. Well that's not where my story ended. I carried the Coronavirus called FIP. feline infectious peritonitis. This is basically the coronavirus that mutates. I developed neurological FIP, and it was one of the worst cases my foster mom and dad had ever encountered. I pretty much lost control of my hindquarters.  My back legs wouldn't work and I pooped and peed at will because I didn't know any better because my brain wasn't working and I couldn't get to a litter box. My foster mom was determined that if there was recovery, I was going to make it. I spent a lot of recovery hours with my foster daddy, just snuggling.  He made me feel safe.  It  was a course of over 6 months I am almost 100% recovered. I can walk, and I can play.  Sometimes I have a little snafu where my brain doesn't talk to my hindquarters and I might dribble a little pee or drop a log or two but for the most part I use my litter box like a good little girl. I need a permanent family that will love me and understand that I'm not trying to be bad but sometimes I slip up. I don't need a diaper.  I know how to use a litter box sometimes accidents just happen. The other thing they found out that most cats,  well probably 99%, have seven vertebrae. I have six in my spine. it doesn't hurt me, but I do walk a little lower to the ground but I'm still just as beautiful! nNow having said all the icky stuff about me let me tell you the good stuff. I love to purr when I'm not so shy and you're brushing me, and you do need to brush me! I don't want any more of those nasty mats stuck on my back. I love to play and chase after my brother and my other Foster family. I love toys and I like to eat. Can you please help make room in your family for me? I'll do my best to be a good girl!
