Hudson is a 1 year old male Shepherd mix with a glossy black coat and the cutest golden-orange "eyebrows" that give him the sweetest charm. This handsome boy may be a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you … behind those gentle eyes is a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. When meeting someone new, Hudson sometimes hangs back for a moment. But it's the kind of hesitation that melts your heart, because you can tell he really REALLY wants to come say hello. Give him a little patience, a few kind words, and before long, his lovable personality begins to truly shine. From there, you'll discover a gentle, affectionate companion who enjoys being close to his people. With his fairly laid-back, medium-energy level, he is just as happy joining you for a walk as he is relaxing by your side. Hudson has also shown good manners with cats he has met as well as with other dogs, who he politely greets through the fence with quiet curiosity. This sweet boy simply needs a loving home in order to fully blossom. In return, you'll gain a loyal best friend whose trust and love are truly special. Come meet Hudson soon, and fall in love.  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
