Abby is a beautiful 1-year-old, 40-pound Shepherd mix with a sweet and gentle personality. This lovely girl does great with everything she meets and has a calm, kind nature that makes her a wonderful companion. Abby is on the shy side, especially in new situations, so she would do best in a home with a confident dog who can help show her the ropes and build her confidence. Once she feels comfortable, Abby is a very affectionate and loyal companion who enjoys being near her people. She is housebroken with the use of a dog door and is doing okay in the kennel as she continues to adjust. Abby is still learning leash manners and will need additional practice with leash walking, but with patience and positive encouragement, she is sure to continue making progress. Abby would thrive in a patient, loving home that can help her gain confidence while appreciating her sweet and gentle spirit. If you have a friendly, confident dog and are looking for a kind-hearted companion, Abby may be the perfect match for your family! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $200. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.
