Meet Carmen — Carmen first came to us after being abandoned in a duffle bag alongside two different litters of kittens. As a teen mom, she raised every single one with patience, care, and quiet strength and now it’s finally Carmen’s turn to be someone’s whole world.   According to her foster, Carmen is one of the most loving and affectionate cats she has ever known. When she has a space to call her own, her personality truly blossoms. She’ll seek you out for attention and happily soaking up pets and companionship. She may not love being picked up but once you learn her preferences, you’ll find her affection is incredibly rewarding and genuine. Carmen is looking for a home where she can be the star—she would do best as a solo cat. When she doesn’t have to share, she’s relaxed, loving, and completely at ease. She has peacefully coexisted with a calm, senior dog who largely ignores her. Because of this, we think she could do well with a similar dog—one who respects her space and doesn’t try to engage. Carmen isn’t for everyone—but for the right person, she’s everything. She’s a cat who will love you deeply, in her own language, on her own terms—and there’s something really special about earning that kind of trust.  After everything she’s given, Carmen deserves a home where she can finally just be  Carmen .
