Meet Scout! Scout is an adorable 8-month-old Red Heeler mix weighing in at around 15 pounds—and we don't think he'll get much bigger since he's almost a year old! This little guy may be small, but he has a BIG personality and plenty of energy! Scout will need an active family who can help him burn off his energy in appropriate ways and keep his busy mind stimulated. Like many working breeds, Scout will benefit from training to help him learn boundaries, manners, and how to channel all that energy appropriately. An adopter with experience with working breeds is preferred, as Heelers can have some extra quirks that may need to be navigated a little differently. Scout has been around cats and is said to be friendly with them—although he can be a little pushy. Any current dogs in the home will need to meet Scout to make sure everyone is a good match. Scout is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Now he just needs an active family ready for a fun, smart, energetic little guy who is ready to learn and grow!
