Momo est arrivé au refuge en janvier 2026 en compagnie de son grand ami, Obi. Leur lien est profondément touchant : ils se sont soutenus l'un l'autre dans les moments les plus difficiles, et cette complicité est encore bien présente aujourd'hui. Momo est un chat timide de 5 ans qu'il faut approcher avec patience et douceur. Il n'attend qu'une chose : qu'on lui laisse le temps de s'ouvrir. Lorsqu'il accorde sa confiance, il offre son affection avec une tendresse infinie. Il ne deviendra peut-être pas un chat de genoux dès les premières semaines, mais chaque petit progrès sera une magnifique récompense. Pour s'épanouir pleinement, Momo aura absolument besoin de la présence d'un compagnon félin calme, amical et bien socialisé. Un chat confiant l'aidera à comprendre que son nouveau foyer est un endroit sécuritaire où il peut enfin baisser la garde. C'est d'ailleurs exactement le rôle qu'Obi joue auprès de lui depuis toujours. Obi rend Momo courageux, tandis que Momo prend soin de son grand ami en lui offrant de longues séances de toilettage pleines d'affection. Dans un monde idéal, nous aimerions voir Momo et Obi partir ensemble vers leur nouvelle vie. Leur relation est magnifique et ils se complètent à merveille. Les adopter en duo leur permettrait de conserver ce précieux repère tout en facilitant leur adaptation à leur nouvelle famille. Cela dit, une adoption de Momo seul demeure tout à fait envisageable si son futur foyer compte déjà un ou plusieurs chats gentils, patients et sociables, prêts à l'accueillir et à lui montrer les bonnes habitudes de la maison. Nous croyons qu’un foyer calme sans jeunes enfantsa serait le mieux pour Momo. Nous ne croyons pas que ce serait un bon match pour une famille avec un chien. À noter : Momo doit encore recevoir une dentisterie, qui sera entièrement prise en charge par le refuge. Les futurs adoptants devront toutefois être en mesure de l'accompagner à son rendez-vous à Anjou lorsque nous les contacterons pour confirmer la date. Tous les frais liés à cette intervention seront assumés par le refuge. Momo est un chat adulte, dont les frais d'adoption sont de 290$. Il est stérilisé, vacciné, micropucé et négatif pour le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF) ainsi que la leucose féline (FeLV).  Des assurances santé de 6 semaines viennent avec son adoption. Vous pourrez avoir recours à l'aide de l'équipe des adoptions aussi longtemps que nécessaire. Momo is a 5-year-old shy boy who needs to be approached with patience and gentleness. All he asks is for someone willing to give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. Once he learns to trust you, he returns that trust with endless affection. He may not become a lap cat within the first few weeks, but every small step forward will be incredibly rewarding. To truly thrive, Momo will need the companionship of a calm, friendly, and well-socialized feline friend. A confident cat will help him understand that his new home is a safe place where he can finally let his guard down. This is exactly the role Obi has always played in Momo's life. Obi gives Momo the confidence to be brave, while Momo lovingly returns the favor by grooming his dear friend with great care. In a perfect world, we would love to see Momo and Obi adopted together. Their relationship is beautiful, and they complement each other perfectly. Sharing a home would allow them to keep this important source of comfort while making the transition to a new family much easier. That said, Momo could also do very well if adopted on his own into a home that already has one or more gentle, patient, and social cats who can help him settle in and show him that he is safe. We believe Momo would do best in a quiet home without young children. We do not think he would be a good match for a home with a dog. Please note: Momo still needs to undergo a dental procedure, which will be fully covered by the shelter. His future adopters will simply need to bring him to his appointment in Anjou once we contact them with the scheduled date. All costs associated with the procedure will be paid by the shelter. Momo is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fee is $290$. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Six weeks of pet insurance are included with the adoption.
