Mikey (A140565) is a 2-year-old DSH who weighed 12.25 pounds on intake! 07/16/26 Mikey is back at the shelter due to no fault of his own. Sadly, his owner had to move into housing that does not allow pets. On a happier note, they reported that Mikey used his litterbox consistently while in their care. It was previously recommended that he goes to a home without dogs as he was noted to be skiddish. They also noted that he did well with babies and children! Mikey was noted to like to jump up and may enjoy a cat tree in his next home. They also noted that he LOVED his pink scratcher! If you are interested in meeting Mikey, please let us know! 12/09/25 This handsome boy is Mikey! Mikey was surrendered to the shelter because he was urinating on the newborn's belongings. His surrendering owner stated that he had never exhibited this behavior before bringing their baby home. We did have our shelter vet assess Mikey to rule out a medical cause of his inappropriate urination. His urinalysis came back clean!Mikey has been cleared for adoption, and we recommend that he not go to a home with babies/toddlers. He was said to do well children and was said to be very affectionate towards strangers and adults! Mikey was also said to do well with other cats; however, it was noted that he may prefer being a single cat. It was noted that he does NOT like dogs. He would do best in a home without dogs.
