SHULER NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Shuler         Best Guess for Breed:   Shepherd and retriever mix  Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of July 2026        SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:  28.8 lbs as of early July 2026   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:    South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.   Shuler is Looking For:  A home where he gets to be a well loved dog! He arrived in the shelter with an embedded collar (which has since healed) - and he's closed that chapter and is eagerly looking forward to his next one. The one where he gets sniffy walks and romps in parks all the adventures his new humans can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed would be nice too.Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises adoring gazes, all the happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say?
