FIDO NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Fido        Best Guess for Breed:  Australian shepherd/shepherd type mix Best Guess for Age:  6 months as of July 2026         SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight: 35 lbs as of 7/15/26; he is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Fido does well with other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations: Fido is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes.   Fido is Looking For:   Hi! My brother Flarry and i have enjoyed growing up together but now we're ready to split up and get our own homes. I'm looking for one where I get to go on lots of adventures with my new humans - long sniffy walks, romps in parks, world exploration! To get there, I need humans who understand I haven't seen enough of the world and am shy right now -  I need some extra help getting used to new places! A welcoming resident dog who shows me how to dog will help me build my braves too. Most of all I want to always be safe and loved, to know where I belong. I have so much love and loyalty to give.
