Hi!  My name is Charlie and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up and no on came to get me, I was going to be placed on something bad called "the list" 'cause the shelter was full.  Fortunately for me, one of the volunteers reached out to BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes!  When I first got into foster, I was still pretty scared but everyone has been so nice to me I started learning I could trust and love getting attention now.  I appear to be a chihuahua mix, am at around 8mos old I currently weigh a little under 11lbs and shouldn't get too much bigger.  I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats that I have encountered.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding.  I really enjoy getting regular meals and the treats are pretty good, too.  I am ok on leash but I do need to learn to trust you first; I would love to have a yard to run around in and explore and it doesn't need to be really big.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at http://www.bcaaofnj.org.
