Meet Willy! Willy is about a year and a half old and he is guessed to be a basset hound cocker spaniel mix! He came to us from a shelter who picked him up as a stray and he was never claimed. He is a sweet happy guy, but he is leery of men at first! His new home MUST have a female presence and any males must know to give him time. He is very playful and eager to please! Since he came in as a stray, we do not know his background if he is housebroken, trained or good with cats, but he has been around other dogs in the shelter and is fine! He will require a home with a fenced in yard and his adoption fee is $300. Willy Is neutered and up-to-date on all of his shots and ready to go to a new home! He is currently located in the Columbus area. Please visit our website to apply for Willy or any other one of our dogs. Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address. Please understand we are all volunteers and will respond as soon as we can as we all have jobs and family obligations.
