PRINCESSA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Princessa         Best Guess for Breed:   Shih tzu mix Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of July 2026      SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:  3.79 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations: Princessa is shy and must go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes!   Princessa is Looking For:  Her forever home! This sweetie may have small legs and be awfully close to the ground but she's a young pup, eager for sniffy walks and world exploration by her humans' side. To get there, though, she needs extra patient and loving adopters who understand that she is so small and the world is so big - she can be shy and nervous. And she needs a friendly resident dog who will show her how to dog too!Plus that long coat - yeah, that needs daily brushing (a perfect segue into snuggling in the eves!) and regular professional grooming, please. She'd like to be able to SEE - and move around without painful mats.   Most of all, though, she wants to love and be loved, to know where she belongs. What do you say? is that by your side?  What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once this pup has spent time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
