Waffles is a 3-month-old Lab and Terrier mix with the sweetest personality you could ask for. She is the definition of a well-balanced puppy. She loves to play when it's time for fun, happily settles in for a nap afterward, and is always ready to curl up for snuggles. If you're looking for a puppy who is equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle companion, Waffles is your girl.One of Waffles' favorite things is exploring the world around her. Whether she's carefully watching a tiny bug crawl across the sidewalk or strolling through the neighborhood, she approaches everything with curiosity and wonder. At home, she loves carrying around her stuffed animals, pouncing on squeaky toys, and quietly keeping her people company. If you leave the room, don't be surprised to hear the happy little pitter patter of paws as your adorable shadow follows right behind you.Waffles adjusted to foster life almost immediately. After a long car ride, she hopped out of her crate with a wagging tail and was ready to meet everyone. She has never met a person she didn't like and is especially wonderful with children. She is patient, gentle, and loves all the extra attention and playtime kids have to offer.She is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night, quietly waiting for her morning potty break. Waffles is also making great progress with house training. She keeps her crate clean overnight and has very few accidents, although she is still a young puppy who will need continued consistency and patience.Waffles can live with other dogs, although she is a little shy when meeting new canine friends. Slow, proper introductions help her build confidence, and she is able to overcome her initial hesitation. She has not been introduced to cats yet, so her compatibility with them is unknown.Her energy level is just right for a growing puppy. She enjoys walks, playtime, and car rides, especially trips to the beach, but she also loves long naps and would often choose snuggling over nonstop activity. She doesn't require a fenced yard and is content staying close to home.Baths aren't her favorite activity, but she tolerates them well. She is generally quiet and easygoing, though she may let you know she'd rather be spending time with her favorite people.Simply put, Waffles is the kind of puppy everyone hopes to find. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
