SONNY – He Thought He Was Already Home  Sonny doesn't understand. In 2023, he was adopted as a tiny kitten. He left the rescue and went home with his family, where he grew up surrounded by everything familiar. A home. His people. His sisters, Cuddles and Cher. For Sonny, that was simply life. That was home. And then one day… it wasn't.  Sonny, Cuddles, and Cher were returned to Forgotten Cats. The only home Sonny really remembers disappeared, and suddenly he found himself back at the shelter in Trainer, living in a cage. He doesn't know why. To make things even harder, Sonny's sister Cher isn't feeling well and is currently receiving veterinary care. Now Sonny is left wondering where she went, too. So he lies quietly on his blanket. He watches. He waits. And he mopes.  The confident little kitten who once left the rescue for his happily-ever-after now looks sad and insecure, as though he's trying to understand how his entire world changed so quickly. But then you reach in and pet him. And for a moment… Sonny comes back.  His eyes brighten. He perks up. His sweet, loving personality begins to peek through, and you can see the wonderful boy hiding underneath all that sadness. Sonny still wants affection. He still wants to feel safe. And somewhere inside, he still seems to believe that someone might choose him again. Sonny has already been rescued once. This time, he needs someone who means forever.  He deserves to trade the cage for a couch. The uncertainty for security. The waiting for a family who will look at him and say, “You're home, Sonny.
