Zion is a striking male Akita with a loyal and confident personality who’s looking for a committed home that understands his breed or is eager to learn. He is house trained and crate trained, making him well prepared for a comfortable transition into a new environment. Zion requires a carefully managed meet-and-greet with any potential canine companion and will only do well with dogs his own size; he cannot live with small dogs or cats, and dog parks are not appropriate for him. He will thrive in an adults-only home or with a family that has children 13 or older who can actively participate in his training and exercise needs. An Akita-experienced home would be ideal, but he is equally well suited for adopters who are willing to learn about the breed’s unique temperament. With structure, consistency, and the right guidance, Zion has the potential to be a devoted and deeply rewarding companion.
