Meet Leo! Leo is a sweet, loving gentleman who is discovering that the good life includes soft beds, belly rubs, and following his favorite person from room to room. While he's still getting used to the sights and sounds of suburban living, he's taking it all in stride with his calm, easygoing personality.  Though he can be a little anxious in new situations,  Leo is gaining confidence every day and thrives with gentle encouragement and reassurance  This handsome boy is house-trained and thrives on a predictable routine.  While he’s still learning to clearly signal when he needs a potty break, staying on a regular schedule sets him up for success.  At night, he sleeps peacefully beside his foster mom's bed, and during the day he's happy to relax in his kennel, nap in a cozy spot, or act as her loyal shadow. If you're looking for a built-in best friend, Leo is happy to apply for the position. Leo is a smart pup who learns quickly. He rides beautifully in the car and walks nicely on a leash, making him a wonderful companion for errands and adventures.  He’s eager to continue building his confidence and learning new skills through obedience training with his forever family.  With patience, consistency, and plenty of encouragement, Leo is sure to blossom into an even more confident and devoted best friend.  Leo has shown friendly, respectful behavior around other dogs and seems to enjoy canine company. He has only had one brief introduction to a cat so far, which went well, but any future feline friendships should be built through slow, thoughtful introductions to help everyone feel comfortable and set them up for success. Leo's foster family describes him as polite and affectionate, and wonderfully easy to have around. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
