Description
Introducing Sir Scruffington III, first of his name, ruler of all he surveys, Head Dog in Charge of treats, laps, and all things good! Scruff is a 4-year-old male Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu cross who is a big dog in a small 13 1/2-pound body! Sir Scruffington came to us all the way from Southern Virginia. Scruff is more than happy to share his huge and glorious personality with any and all loyal subjects in the North as he was in the South. Scruff is definitely more terrier than anything else. In fact, he looks an awful lot like a black and white version of Toto from the Wizard of Oz. He is a sweet boy who would do best in an adult home with active humans. He loves to walk and get his adventure on, and would love being someone's one and only companion. Yep, you read that right - Scruff likes to be the center of attention. He would do best as your numero uno, number one, spirit animal soul mate. He isn't big on sharing - in his terrier world, all of the treats, all of the meals, all of the toys, all of the chewies, all of the pets, all of the belly scratches, all of the things in life that are GOOD, belong to him when he is in his castle. The only beings that he wants to share anything with? His people, loyal subjects that they are. We get it! Scruff is a good boy - he rides well in the car (you never have to leave him behind!), walks well on a leash, and loves to play and dance and have a good time. Yes he is full of energy (and sort of full of himself, but don't tell him I said that), but at the same time, he has a good off switch when it's time to settle down. We do not know if he is reliably house trained or not, but expect that it will take a minute for him to learn the ropes of a new place, regardless. He's a smart little man though, and will figure things out quickly, no doubt. His coat is relatively easy to maintain with brushing and maybe some trips to the groomer. He seems to be a low shed fellow and keeping up with his grooming needs should help with that. If you feel like you are a prime candidate to make a scruffy bit of royalty part of your family, look no further than our own Sir Scruffington III!
