Chancho is a 5 month old male Airedale Terrier mix who weighs in at 11.9 pounds.  This pup's adoption fee is $500.  If you are still interested, please read more below. From day one Chancho has absolutely blown his foster away. For such a young puppy who has experienced so much change, he has settled into home life with an incredible amount of confidence and stability. He is currently fostered with two Borzoi and two cats and has integrated beautifully with everyone. He LOVES playing with his big foster dog siblings and would do great with another friendly dog, but he is people-oriented enough that he could also be happy as a solo dog. Chancho is already close to having sit, place, and break down and is eager to learn. Potty training is going really well, though his foster mom works remotely, so he gets frequent opportunities to go outside. He is also making great progress with crate training and understands that his crate is his space for meals, naps, and downtime. He is slowly entering his puppy chewing stage but is easily redirected to bones and puppy-safe chews. He did great for his nail trim and is a little nervous about the tub and dryer, but he is still so young and learning that new things aren’t scary! Most of all, Chancho LOVES his people. If given the chance, he would happily snuggle up in bed and sleep with you all night, though his fosters are currently crating him overnight to keep building those good habits. He has spent some time around a bonfire and sniffing the grill, too! If there is a warm lap, cozy blanket, or open spot next to you, that is exactly where you will find him. He is affectionate, goofy, playful, and has the cutest scruffy beard and little airplane ears.  Chancho will thrive with a family excited to continue teaching him about the world. If you’re looking for a puppy who is equal parts cuddle bug, adventure buddy, and loyal best friend, Chancho may be your guy.  This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered.
