Description
Brown tabby Kai is young, playful, and just wants a person to love! He’s a gentle soul who has been seen around Kenton since spring, and efforts have not connected him with a previous owner. While the original goal was TNR, sweet Kai quickly showed us that he’s not meant to be an outdoor cat. Kai has readily adapted to our home and is very glad to be off the streets. He has tested as FELV/FIV negative and has had his rabies and distemper vaccines that are good for one year. Kai is recently neutered and microchipped, calm around other cats and dogs, and uses the litterbox like a champ. He’ll come when called, take treats from your hand, enjoys being brushed, and doesn’t mind vet visits. Kai’s forever family will need to be prepared to give him snuggles every day, to which he’ll respond with soothing purrs. He truly thrives with human contact and eagerly awaits the house inhabitants to wake every morning. He’s recently enjoyed climbing to high spots, finding soft&cozy places to lounge, playing with toy mousies, and relaxing to ‘Music for Cats’ on YouTube. A peace lover at heart, Kai thrives by enjoying the simple things in life. Because of his time on the streets and because big moves are in general difficult for cats, Kai’s forever family should be prepared to give him ample time (perhaps weeks) to decompress. Kai lives in Portland and his rehoming fee is $80. Indoor only please! For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the foster parent for follow-ups and meeting arrangement. Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
