Description
Meg came to MCHS on July 12 with her four littermates after they were being fostered by another rescue and needed a new place to go. These pups were born on April 27th and their mother appeared to be a pit bull type dog, around 60 pounds. We don't know who fathered them. Meg is happy and healthy and has the classic puppy energy. She will be ready for adoption towards the end of July, after she has had her vet check and another distemper/parvo vaccination. All of her basic vet work is covered under her adoption fee of $150. This includes all of her puppy shots (distemper/parvo/etc.) and her microchip, as well as her rabies shot and spay surgery, both of which will be coordinated with her adopter once she is old enough. Because she is a puppy, Meg will need training in all areas. She's looking for a home in which she won't be left alone for long hours. She should do well with other dogs and kids and is young enough to learn to interact properly with cats. We are guessing she will be a medium-sized to large dog at maturity. She's a typical puppy, full of mischief and very playful! NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
