Some dogs love their people… and then there’s Sasha. This sweet little terrier mix doesn’t just want to be near you—she wants to be as close as physically possible . Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll happily become your tiny Velcro shadow, convinced that the very best place in the world is curled up on your lap. Sasha is overflowing with love, and she has the sweetest way of showing it. Every morning she wakes up like it’s the best day ever. She wiggles with excitement when her people come home, lights up at the mention of a walk or dinner, and approaches life with a joyful enthusiasm that’s impossible not to smile at. She’s affectionate, silly, playful, and always ready for her next adventure. At home, Sasha is a happy, energetic little companion who loves to play before settling in for a cuddle session. She thrives on being with her people and will gladly follow you from room to room, simply happy to be included in whatever you’re doing. Outside the home, Sasha is a bit more reserved. New places and unfamiliar people can make her cautious, but she is never aggressive. With a little patience and reassurance, she continues to build confidence while looking to her people for comfort and security. Sasha enjoys her daily walks and walks nicely on leash for potty breaks. She’s crate trained and would do well in an apartment or home alike. While she enjoys the company of other dog-friendly dogs, she’s equally happy soaking up all of your attention and does not require a canine companion in her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will celebrate every day by your side, save you a spot on the couch, and remind you just how wonderful it is to come home, Sasha is ready to fill that role with her whole heart.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
