Description

Meet Bonk! Some dogs inspire you the moment you meet them, and Bonk is one of those special pups.At just six months old, Bonk is deaf and appears to be blind (he may have limited shadow perception), but don't let that fool you. He doesn't spend a second feeling sorry for himself. Instead, he approaches life with quiet courage, a playful spirit, and a heart overflowing with love.Bonk is the sweetest cuddle bug you'll ever meet. He loves curling up beside his people after a day of adventures and is happiest when he's close to his family. He's also wonderfully well-mannered. He's already house-trained with zero accidents in his foster home, sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, rides beautifully in the car, and has no food aggression.Outside is his happy place! Bonk absolutely loves exploring the yard, feeling the sunshine, and playing with his canine friends. He's currently living with five dogs and three cats and has done wonderfully with everyone. He mostly ignores the cats and loves wrestling and playing with the younger dogs. He's also been fantastic with children, including his foster family's teenagers and younger neighborhood kids.Like many puppies, Bonk is still learning about the world around him. Because he can't see or hear, he's building confidence a little more each day. One thing he's still figuring out is going down stairs, but with patience and encouragement, he continues to make progress.Living with a deaf and blind dog is a little different, but it's incredibly rewarding. Bonk navigates his world using his other senses and quickly learns routines and the layout of his home. He'll thrive with a family willing to help him continue building confidence and celebrate all of his little victories along the way.If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul, a playful personality, and so much love to give, Bonk just might be your perfect match. His disabilities don't define him. His resilience, sweetness, and joyful spirit do.
