Location: Alexandria, VA Meet Steph  Steph is around 2 years old and quite possibly one of the bravest dogs you'll ever meet. Life wasn't always kind to her, and because of that, new people, places, and experiences can feel overwhelming at first. But what makes Steph so special is that she keeps trying. As long as she's with someone she trusts, she'll find the courage to take those next little steps. With consistent love, patience, and kindness, Steph blossoms into the sweetest companion. She adores gentle pets, loves being close to her person, and finds comfort simply being by your side. Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding, and every milestone feels like a victory she's worked so hard to earn. Steph would thrive in a calm, slower-paced home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. She could do well as an only dog or with respectful canine companions. We haven't tested her with cats, but she's such a gentle soul that we think she'd likely do well with a proper introduction. Steph is up to date on all of her vaccines and is currently being fostered in Alexandria, Virginia.
