Meet Wesley — Wesley is a 3‑year‑old, 13‑lb Yorkie mix A perfect housemate for a quiet 1-2 person household with other fun loving dogs in the home! Wesley is crate trained, potty trained, and a total gentleman around the house. He’s incredibly affectionate and lives for snuggles — whether he’s curled up beside his foster parents or cozied up with his doggy foster sister. Wesley has glorious long hair that requires frequent brushing but guess what, he loves it. One of his most endearing quirks? He loves to sleep flat on his back, belly up, completely relaxed and trusting. A sensitive soul outdoors Wesley shines in the comfort of home, but the outside world can feel a bit overwhelming. On leash, unfamiliar people and dogs can make him nervous, and he may bark and pull on his leash. His foster family has been working on his leash reactivity, and he's improved quite a bit.   He has been going to the dog park in a quiet neighborhood and has done well. He definitely barks at the dog park fence, but takes correction in stride and will walk away. His ideal home Wesley will thrive in a calm, patient household, ideally with another friendly dog or two. Wesly takes cues from other dogs and is more confident with canine friends. He enjoys cuddles, relaxed hangouts, and gentle play. He is SLOW to warm up. He stayed with a vacation foster for 3 weeks and it took 6 days for him to warm up but once he did, it was all cuddles and love. If you can give him the time to settle in, you will be glad as the saying goes "Good things come to those who wait!" He needs a home with just one maybe two people. Wesley picks a favorite and gives 90% of his love to that lucky person. The other person, well, they get to love but not much. He’s not a match for cats — Wesley is not a fit for a home with children.   Bay Area Adoption/Fostered in the San Jose Area.
