Description
Hello there, I’m Sunflower Seed! I may be a little shy when we first meet, but I promise there’s a gentle, sweet bunny underneath just waiting to bloom. I was born safely in rescue after my mama was saved from a large dumpsite in Mankato, MN—so I’ve always known kindness, even if I’m still learning to fully trust it. I’m an easygoing little guy who enjoys the simple things in life. Give me some space and playtime, and I’ll happily zoom around, stretch my legs, and show off my playful side. I take pride in my litter box habits (a clean box is a must for me, please!) and like to keep things neat and cozy. I do best with someone who understands that I follow the “3-3-3 rule”—I need a little time to settle in, feel safe, and truly come out of my shell. Once I start to trust you, I’ll accept gentle head pets and show you just how special I am. Food is one of my favorite things! I enjoy unlimited fresh hay all day long, along with my daily routine of Oxbow pellets morning and night, plus plenty of leafy greens to keep me happy and healthy. I’m also a great candidate for bonding! If you have a bunny who’s looking for a gentle, easygoing soulmate, I just might be your perfect match. What I really need is a calm, quiet home where I can feel safe and grow at my own pace. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, I know I’ll blossom into a wonderful companion and fill your days with soft hops, quiet company, and plenty of smiles. Could your home be the place where I finally bloom? *RRMN requires all children be 10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience. All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.* If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. Gender: Male (neutered) Exact birthdate: 9/28/2025 Approximate weight: 3.8 lbs Adoption fee: $100.00 (+tax) RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA. If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
