This approximately 1-year-old male feline is a true extrovert who thrives on making new human and feline friends. As an orange cat, Persimmon is full of silly antics and makes each day a little brighter with his adorable tongue bleps and failed acrobatics. While he was initially prone to playful nipping and overstimulation from Single Kitten Syndrome, he has been working with a behavioral expert to refine his social skills and is now the most well behaved boy!Persimmon's superpower is his non-stop energy; showcasing impressive jumps and boundless enthusiasm. Whether he's chasing laser pointers, or wand toys, or rolling over to invite a fellow kitty for a wrestle, Persimmon will play for hours on end. After a play session, you'll often find him following you around curiously before settling in for some quality movie-watching snuggles. And snuggling is the best part! Persimmon has the softest of fur and will purr up a storm from the very first ear scritch. One unique quality about Persimmon is his love for human company. He adores being pet and will happily curl up next to you or in your lap, soaking up all the affection and attention he can get. Being young and high energy, Persimmon needs an active household, preferably with another playful feline companion, and an adventurous lifestyle. During his time in foster care, Persimmon was exposed to a variety of experiences and environments, helping him become adaptable and open to new situations. He loves being walked on a leash and exploring everything he can get his paws on, making him the ideal kitty for travel and active families. Due to his exuberant nature, Persimmon may not be the best fit for households with especially young children but older respectful children who are ready to play with him all day long are welcome! He enjoys the company of other pets, always following his foster siblings around to see what they are up to, and even if they get a little spicy towards him, he remains positive and tries again later. Despite a rough start in life, being dumped on a busy road in downtown Chicago, he has maintained the sweet and cuddly demeanor of a kitten, winning over the hearts of everyone he meets.If you're looking for a playful companion who brings endless joy and affection into your home, consider welcoming Persimmon into your family.
