IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Fun Friendly FOXY Is a beautiful PETITE Australian Shepherd - German Shepherd mix who is READY for her forever family to find her! Foxy has never met a stranger - she’s been in foster care for DASH in East Texas and has been a little doll. She’s been loving and sweet to people of all ages and sizes and there’s nothing she won’t trade for some petting and cuddling. Foxy is so well behaved that she was taken to a local Fourth of July event where everyone in uniform, from Animal Control to the police department, was able to pet her, praise her and reinforce her perfect and confident behavior. Foxy has a moderate energy level; she will be a great companion for humans who are also moderately active but basing outdoor time on the brutal Texas heat this summer. Foxy loves other dogs. She’d love to have a playmate that is also young and energetic; she’s never met a dog. She couldn’t get along with also in playgroups, foster care and her recent outdoor explorations. Foxy has reached her full grown size. She might be able to put on a couple of pounds but otherwise she’s going to be this petite and perfect-sized shepherd mix, easy to handle but also the ability to enjoy bigger dog activities, and events. Foxy is also a fast runner; for anything from playing fetch in the backyard to working toward agility and flyball and other outdoor dog sports Foxy will male an excellent candidate. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
