Description
Meet Gus, a handsome 7-year-old male purebred brittany, who is looking for his forever home. Gus was a stray dog who found himself in a shelter. He was heartworm positive, but has completed treatment. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Gus has a heart full of love and is always ready to share his joyful spirit with everyone he meets. His most favorite activity is going on walks and he loves to greet every person and dog that he sees. He is still working on some leash manners, but is very smart and seems to understand commands such as stay, wait and drop it. He also loves to spend time outside in the backyard hunting critters. He is looking for a home with a fenced yard as well as another dog for a companion. He enjoys playing with toys and has a knack for making people smile with his cheerful demeanor. Gus is a velcro boy and loves to be close to his humans. He does well with other dogs and kids, but not cats. He would prefer an active home with someone who can be home most of the time. He is crate trained, but will bark for the first 5-10 minutes before quieting down. He is housebroken and rides well in a car. He is also a good patient at the vet. Gus is eager to find a forever family who will cherish his companionship and give him the love he so readily gives. Gus is located in eastern NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles away, with the adopter driving the last 100 miles. His adoption fee is $350 to help offset some medical expenses. Please submit an adoption application at www.nbran.org and mention his name. For any additional questions, please reach out to jessica@thesouthernway.com
