Chavo

Description

Foster or forever home wanted, meet Chavo. The days leading up to the dreaded 4th of July holiday are dangerous for dogs that have been in overcrowded shelters for any length of time. Add to that, a dog with visible wounds on his left rear leg. Chavo came into the San Bernardino shelter as a stray on June 16th and was immediately at risk. As with many dogs these days, he didn't have a collar, tag or microchip and no one ever came looking for him. We knew he would not survive the holiday due to a high influx of dogs coming in, so we went to grab him. Chavo was also very nervous, anxious and fearful Who knows what happened to this poor pup before arriving at the shelter.  The shelter staff said Chavo is a very sweet and friendly dog even though he was scared coming into the shelter. Chavo has been kenneled with other dogs during his stay and has been great with them all.
