Description
Meet Oz — an 8‑month‑old pit bull puppy with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a story that shows just how resilient young dogs can be. Oz came to us as a stray alongside his brother Odin. Their first week in the shelter was tough; both boys were overwhelmed, unsure, and nervous about their new surroundings. But with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, Oz began to find his confidence — and once he did, his true personality came shining through.Oz is a joyful, energetic puppy who loves toys of every kind. If you let him, he’ll play as long as you’re willing to keep the fun going. Wand toys, squeaky toys, tug toys — he’s not picky. After a good play session, he’s ready to curl up for cuddles and soak up affection. He’s the perfect mix of silly puppy energy and sweet snuggle‑bug softness.Oz was cat‑tested and did well. With a little more exposure and continued positive experiences, he has the potential to be a cat‑friendly dog. He has also been dog‑tested; he was nervous around a very high‑energy dog, so he’ll be retested with a calmer, more appropriate match. His reactions show that he’s not aggressive — just unsure — and with slow introductions and patient guidance, he can learn to feel comfortable around other dogs.Oz is still young, still learning, and still growing into the confident, happy dog he’s meant to be. He’s looking for a home that understands puppy development, can offer structure and kindness, and will celebrate every bit of progress he makes. If you’re ready for a playful companion who will reward you with loyalty, affection, and endless fun, Oz is eager to start his new life with you.Oz's adoption fee is $250, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
