Meet Cali!Cali is a 5-year-old white Pit Bull mix with a gentle heart, soft eyes, and a loving personality. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and has shown again and again what a sweet, cooperative girl she is.Field & Intake Notes:When found in the field, Cali was very friendly and approachable. She didn’t always listen perfectly—likely just overwhelmed or excited—but she walked well on leash and even allowed staff to pick her up without hesitation. During intake, she remained just as sweet and easy to handle, walking nicely on leash and taking her vaccines like a champ.A Little Adventurous:One morning, while staff were cleaning, Cali was spotted perched on top of the kennel runs—just calmly sitting and observing the world like a lookout dog. Staff gently leashed her and assisted her down safely. She now has a “fence jumper” tag and will be moved to a more secure spot for her safety. This girl has a curious spirit and a surprising athletic side!Volunteer Notes:Volunteers adore Cali and have shared some heartfelt observations:• She has the sweetest, saddest eyes that instantly make you want to hug her.• She takes treats gently and absolutely loves head rubs.• When off leash, she’ll happily walk right by your side.• On leash, she walks beautifully and stays calm.• She didn’t react to nearby dogs or barking—though loud barks did startle her a bit.Cali is a loving dog with a soft soul, a curious mind, and a gentle heart.
