Description
Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Weight: 2.3lbs and growing! We believe he will be about 12 lbs when full grown. Mom is 11 lbs Height: Puppies grow daily! Mom is about 9" at the shoulder. We believe Eddie will be slightly taller. Spayed/Neutered: Eddie is too young to be surgically altered. Your adoption contract will include an addendum laying out the best time to neuter (between six months but no later than one year), the post neuter follow up requirements we ask for and the condition that he never be used for breeding. The financial responsibility for neuter belongs to the adopter. Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? No but Eddie is a very young puppy. We have not yet introduced leashes. He is being taught to go on pee pads and could be introduced to a harness. If you do not have a fence, our best suggestion for a young puppy is an exercise pen in your yard for a place to go potty. Please note, young dogs go about every hour for every month old they are until about 4 to 5 months old. Expect late night potty breaks! Want To Know More About Me? Text "Eddie" to 864-441-9075 to see if Eddie is still available. All information we have on Eddie is here in his profile. PLEASE NOTE - EDDIE HAS A MEET AND GREET ON SATURDAY 7/11/26. IF HE IS ADOPTED, HIS PROFILE WILL BE REMOVED FROM OUR LISTINGS. IF THAT DOES NOT GO WELL, WE WILL AMEND THIS PROFILE. FOR NOW WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING BACKUP INQUIRIES. THIS FAMILY HAS BEEN WAITING FOR FOUR WEEK TO INSURE EDDIE WAS HEALTHY (SEE BELOW) Here's Your Quick Peek: Eddie is a puppy and he is all puppy! At 11 weeks old, Eddie is already emerging as a confident little guy who is looking for fun and adventure. He has been the largest of all the family from birth and that has not changed. He is also gentle with his sister Winnie - well, most of the time - and has loved being introduced to pups a bit older, a bit bigger than he is and a bit more rambunctious than Winnie (who is a dainty little lady). Eddie is being taught to go on a pee pad and is good at that. He has not yet been introduced to a leash. Please note, this litter was slow to grow up. They are still nursing occasionally and their mom Dazzle is allowing it. Eddie was one of 4 pups originally but very sadly at 6 weeks, 2 of his sisters developed seizures and died within 24 hours of each other. Our vets best assumption now is a condition called liver shunt, an assumption drawn from observing the decline and the seizures. We opted to keep Eddie and Winnie for an additional 2 weeks to insure they seem to be healthy and so far, all is good. Eddie has aways been the most robust of the litter. Please note, Eddie has bilateral inginual hernias which can be corrected at the same time that he is neutered. He is too young for repair now. Puppies need another canine friend and plenty of play, activity, and stimulation. They are energetic, agile, and require homes prepared to meet their mental and physical needs, including a fenced yard. Puppies are typically friendly with everyone and can thrive in many home types as long as their adopter is ready for training, structure, and engagement. With proper boundaries and early socialization, puppies can also do well with cats. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Must have: A home with another small, active dog and someone home more than they are away. Puppies are a lot of work and need canine friends! Exercise: Puppies will need more exercise as they grow! PUPPY POLICY: Puppies are wonderful but require significantly more time, energy, and training than adult dogs. Many adult dogs in rescue are already well‑bred, well‑trained, and eager to bond, while puppies demand far more work and consistency. To ensure lifelong placements, our ideal puppy adopters are experienced dog owners with excellent vet‑care history, are home most of the day (away no more than 4 hours), and already have another dog in the home.
