Castor is a 9 month male Lab mix with a gentle heart, a handsome sable coat, and the sweetest expressions that will melt your heart. His striking black facial highlights only add to his charm, and it's his loving personality that truly makes him special. While Castor can be a little shy when meeting new people, it just takes a few soft treats, some kind words, and a little patience for this sweet boy to realize he's made a new friend. Once he does, his affectionate and sweet nature shines through. Castor recently attended an Adoption Event, where he did wonderfully. He walked calmly alongside several other dogs, and the experience helped him grow more confident on a leash. He showed everyone what a gentle, well-mannered young dog he is and proved that he is ready to take on new experiences. This smart boy is also a fast learner who is eager to please. With a family to encourage him and continue building his confidence, Castor will blossom into a loyal lifelong companion. Come meet this wonderful boy soon, and give him the forever home he SO deserves!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
