Axel is a 9 month old male Pit mix with a stunning brindle coat that seems to glow in the sunshine - just like his bright, happy personality! This handsome boy also has an adorable dark purple tongue, giving him an extra touch of charm and hinting at the unique mix that makes him so special. Full of youthful energy, Axel loves spending time in the park where he can run, play, and explore to his heart's content. One of his favorite activities is joyfully racing along the fence with neighboring dogs, happily inviting them to join in the fun. His playful spirit is contagious, and he's always ready for another game. Toys and tennis balls are some of Axel's favorite things, and he will happily chase after them with enthusiasm. He's an active pup who would love a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and making memories together. Axel is also a smart young dog who already knows Sit and is eager to keep learning. With his willingness to please and fun-loving nature, he will thrive with a family that will continue helping him grow into the amazing companion he was born to be. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
